The AX-11 is a newly developed helmet for the sport of hurling. The AX-11 incorporates subtle features, such as the revised faceguard design, that aim to appeal to the player and protect them from injury, without alienating them through a completely new design. The ear protection feature allows players to walk onto the field knowing they are protected from ear lacerations and other ear related injuries, which no other current helmet models offer. An improved impact absorption systems comes in the form of two protective foam layers which are designed for a multi impact helmet, such is the requirement for hurling. The AX-11 aims to revolutionise helmet use in the game, and discourages the continual modification of helmets by offering players a durable, stylish, and high performing helmet. The AX-11 instils confidence in players as a helmet which is capable of protecting them from minor or more severe injuries.
